How long are coaching sessions?

Sessions are hourly. You can sign up for more than one hour at a time. Coaching sessions take place 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

How much are coaching sessions?

Sessions are $75 for non-members or $50 for members. See all membership options here.

How do I sign up for coaching?

You can see all coaches at newyorkwritingroom.com/coaches. Select the coach you’d like, then pick a time that suits your schedule!

Where do I meet the coach?

All coaching sessions are virtual via Zoom. You will receive a Zoom invitation via email to attend your coaching session.

How do I submit my work to a coach?

Once you sign up for a coaching session, you will receive an email confirmation. Please reply to that email and attach your work. Please submit your work at least 48 hours before your session so the coach has enough time to review it.

How many pages can I send a coach to review?

Coaches will review works under 20 pages. They will then give feedback and recommendations during your coaching session. If you want an entire manuscript reviewed, or are seeking copy editing services, please email hello@newyorkwritingroom.com for a custom quote.

Do you offer refunds?

We do not refund tickets for workshops or events. Coaching sessions may be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance. If you do not show up to a coaching session, there is a $40 no-show fee.
